Hallstatt - There is so much to see

Whether you're visiting alone or with a group, a trip to Hallstatt wouldn't be complete without exploring the world's oldest salt mine - the Salzwelten. And of course, the Skywalk at the salt mountain is a perfect photo spot for your holiday snaps.
Both attractions can be accessed via the salt mountain cable car, which is just a 5-minute walk from the campsite.

The unique collection of skulls at the Hallstatt Bone House, the world-famous photo point, and the picturesque marketplace, which invites you to concerts in the summer months.

Just a 3-minute walk away lies Lake Hallstatt. The beach area is always buzzing with activity during the summer months. This is where the vibrancy of life comes alive. The so-called swimming island, created from stones after the tunnel construction in the 1960s, is the perfect entry point for canoeists and kayakers or a starting spot for a "tour" with your stand-up paddle board. Alternatively, on hot summer days, you can simply dive into the refreshing waters.

In the nearby village of Obertraun, you’ll find even more highlights waiting for you: the enchanting cave worlds and the world-famous viewing platform "5fingers". These are easily accessible by cable car. The best way to reach them is by bike in about 30 minutes, or by taking the bus from the Hallstatt bus terminal, which is just a 5-minute walk away. For a complete experience, we recommend setting off early in the morning.
